Foster Law Firm
Larue Case Featured in New Book

Respected author and LA Times Reporter, Peter Gosselin, has authored a new book which is due out on June 2, 2008 titled “HIGH WIRE:  The Precarious Financial Lives of American Families”.  The book contains a chapter on the case of James LaRue who was represented by Foster Law Firm Attorney Rob Hoskins from the inception of his claim in federal court through the decision of the United States Supreme Court.  The firm’s representation in the matter continues today.  Peter Gosselin is a very respected writer and a very gracious person.  Peter was the author of an excellent article in the Los Angeles Times concerning ERISA disability claims in 2004, The Safety Net She Believed In Was Pulled Away When She Fell.  Peter’s book, HIGH WIRE, is a continuation and expansion of the theme he began with his referenced LA Times article.  Given Peter’s past work, it is anticipated that his new book will be an excellent read, and very informative.  Firm Attorney, Rob Hoskins, said, regarding the publication of the book, “Peter’s article in the LA Times a few years ago has been an excellent resource for many of our firm’s ERISA disability clients.  The article presented the precarious and grim situation facing many ERISA claimants in every day and understandable terms.  The article really emphasized and made clear how unfair the current state of the law can be for ERISA claimants.  I have anticipated the publication of Peter’s book expanding on those themes for some time and I predict it will have a major impact on the state of ERISA law and raise awareness of these important issues with the public and legislatures throughout the country.”  To view promotional materials or obtain other information about the book, click here.
